Last Thursday, Haraldsson had a game she won't soon forget. The junior forward tallied three times to propel the Rising Sun field hockey team to a 5-1 triumph over Perryville at Calvert Regional Park. The Panthers field hockey team downed Bo Manor's Eagles 4-1 in Perryville on Monday afternoon, October 31. The Panthers came out strong in the first half, scoring two points, and came back in the second half to add another pair of goals. Janet Candy did her best to be diplomatic but the classy Perryville field hockey coach couldn't completely hide her resentment.
Patterson Mill scored 3:13 into the first 7-on-7 overtime period to nip the Panthers 1-0 in the region title game Wednesday afternoon in Perryville. The Perryville field hockey team advanced to the region final with a 4-1 victory over host Bohemia Manor Monday afternoon, November 2.
Kyleigh Knell tallied twice in the first half and completed her hat trick in the second half. Lydia Hill assisted on both of Knell's first half goals as the Panthers led 2-0 at the break. "Scoring the first goal sets the vibe for the entire game no matter what team it is," said Knell. "When it's you, personally, you know that you score that first goal, you know you're picking them all up and you can keep pushing forward." Kyleigh Knell and Taylor Poore each recorded a hat trick as the Perryville field hockey team rolled to an 11-0 win over visiting North East Thursday afternoon.
It didn't take long for Perryville's Claire Hudson to get an edge on her sister Kendie.
